No bake pie recipes, cake balls recipes

No bake pies and cookies are my idea of a fun and easy dessert.
New Year, New resolutions. That means Diet. I will be starting on Monday. I know that is what we all say.  In the meantime I plan on enjoying the weekend. We are going to a house party tonight. I have two quick recipes to share with you.

Ok you ready for this recipe, this is just how easy.  Bake a cake, any cake you like. I chose Carrot cake.
Let cake cool.
Crumble cake in the pan you baked it in.
Add frosting, to crumbled cake, any kind you like to compliment the cake you baked, in this case I used cream cheese frosting.
Mix together.
Form a ball, like a small meatball.
Now you can do one of two things next...
Melt chocolate, which I used white, and dip the ball and let harden, or just dollop the chocolate on top and add sprinkles, nuts or whatever your liking.
These are delish!
Next recipe:  Well It is in the process of forming now, but this is it so far:

as you can see there is not much to this either.  Never made it before.  But I will let you know how it is. My MIL recently gave me a subscription to a taste of home...the recipes all look fantastic.
So eat drink and all be merry, even if you don't drink of course!
Be safe, and DO not drink and drive!
Looking forward to 2011!

They say it's a wrap!

When I thought about doing the best of 2010 project post, I have to honestly say not one particular project or projects came to mind.   Let me take you down memory lane, a few projects, a few disasters later....
January 2010, After two long years of being on the decorating site RMS,(Rate my space) I just about had it over there. It was very positive in the beginning, and I formed many friendships, most of whom I interact with still on a regular basis. Unfortunately, it went sour for me and some other gals....But I like to think of it as a major stepping stone for me. Because of RMS........
I started my blog and my first post was about ME, and my purpose January 7, 2010
https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEis5JIV0YDGAb6uaZq1CFnjZhcJapHN_-o_PLwggQMzt-Py1hTzQvX-qtOmJFwBPIZ4DyROqZ4N7d9MpoZwamup_dQJ5OQB-Z9TW2f7O8pGYMgpujJpDTLXUImVbn8HxHjNaaWvds3sxJz-/s320/mE.jpg I did 57 posts my first Month! A little obsessive I would say.
February came quickly, and that is when I discovered all the fun Meme parties out there. I started to participate with Barb from Grits and Glamour in her weekly vignette party.  I never even knew what a vignette was, sounded good though!

It really inspired me to do more projects, I even started to do some outdoor table scapes.

APRIL, well that's my Birthday!  I have to say though, that month, I started to fizzle out here, feeling anxious about what I would do to keep everyone coming back and inspired.   I only had 14 posts, I was losing my MOJO.

MAY, kicked into gear for me, and I believe that is when I may have started my Before and After party, I already had my Garage salen party, but hey add more to my plate.
This was my first lamp redo, and I could not get over the overwhelming comments on this post, I believe it was 90, for a lamp shade.

You all were so gracious to give your feedback and advise on that.  Turned out after all, it was no big deal.  He now can write it, and even read it most of the time.

By the time September rolled around. THings were getting a little overwhelming for me out here in Blog land.  I had now TWO parties, of course I brought that all on myself.....

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinHj2OtcTmRj3kPiIOulgQwN7M5Y2q0hkxC4dQdBrV4ZBwvIy2echtARC6IBpDgKxWuWKoUBBnnb0R8RwpdFVAoINdVClzLlO0ujQmNGigNu8Ikf_iioW-X8OYBvKykcv9TXtXRMp1PQuT/s640/100_5572.JPG
By the time October came, I had forgotten about September and was quickly thinking about Halloween and parties. I do believe this is where the real slow down began for me.
I made my announcement that I would be taking a step back.  I gave up all my parties, and took a break.
Best thing I ever did.  I not only regrouped, I took a break from it all.
I am much happier, my family is happier, and although I still spend a  lot of time blogging, I do not spend a lot of time obsessing over what I can and will do next.  I am taking it as it comes.  I don't have to do anything. There is no pressure at all.
November, December,
Time with family, friends and enjoying my life.

As we never know what tomorrow will bring.......Wishing you all Peace, Love and Happiness in the New Year.
Debbie

Ok Do not call the model/talent scouts just yet! over 40 models~

Do they even take over 40 models anymore?  Hey just kidding anyhow, this is all for fun~

Today I decided I would play around with my Tripod.  I do believe out there somewhere is a party called what I wore Wednesday( I have seen my new blogging friend Erin participate in this...I hope so, because I sure went to a lot of trouble to show you my CHEAP outfit!
Yes I am frugal with most of my clothes too.  But I have been called a trend setter a time or two, so I will take that as a compliment.  So you ready for a little geeky fashion show? This is really corny but fun IMO!
The shirt is from Rue 21and I bought it for $5.00. As you can see I layered it over a plain cream color thermal top, purchased at Walmart last year also for $5.00.  The necklace is from Bass pro shop outlet and I bought that for $9.99.

Yep I just may get discovered with a pose like this!

Boots are from Rue 21 I bought those in the beginning of the season for 29.99, the leggins are from Target for $3.00. I see I have some major thunder thighs...I know Diet begins January 1st.

Just waiting for some guy to pick me up at the bar, someone, anyone???

Close up of the necklace, I love it!  And that my friends you have my very first model shoot, here on my blog. OK, so a model I will never be, but I did have fun, and will do this again! My husbad I think enjoyed watching me have fun with the camera, so did the dog.
Oh and I know my MOM and sissie are going to love this post, they are hams too!

Now what?

So today I have been.........
I am guessing not alone there.....
Been cooking...............
Been doing a little of this too......
Pretty soon will be my one year Blogging anniversary...
323 posts
13,000 comments later.......
I am so happy with the balance I have found in blogging.  Took me awhile but I got it down now....
But what will 2011 bring, to you, for me, perhaps to newcomers along the way?
I have NO CLUE!
There is always new fun decor and vignettes to share....

I just can't get rid of these cute bottles.

New beginnings

Even Mr. Roo is wondering what will be....

I thank my loyal followers, most of which I have had since the very beginning. How lucky I am indeed.
Reflecting on 2010, it has been a great year all the way around.
If you recall my OPRAH gig, failure big video debut?  That was the most fun I had being silly, creative and just being myself.  The name of my show  was going to be Debbiedoos Blogging and Blabbing, hence that will be my new 2011 blog name.  No changes on your end, I should still come up just the same.
I would love to hear some of your favorite blog reads? What I mean is who are some of your favorite BLOGGERS?  I want to add some new ones to my list, per some recommendations.
I feel like I don't really get out of my comfort zone too much.
I am having fun with my new camera, and will be pursuing that for sure.  Do you know any good photography blogs?  In the meantime, let's get through ole MAN
 and Hopefully be refreshed soon.

Joining Marty, anything goes this week!

Playdate with my new camera

Today was so beautiful I decided to go outside and snap a few pictures with my new camera.  I did not get many as I got sidetracked quickly....what else is new?
I did manage to get my son Alex in a great mood today and he was a willing participant, not for long though!
Not bragging or anything, but the texting hotline for my son is ridiculous with the girls! He looks so serious!

THis picture I stood in front of my house, it is a shot all the way down the end of the block

This is some of the neighbors landscape, I like this bush or plant or whatever you call it.

My Jack after a very long day at the skate park..just kinda zoning.

Some are happy, some are sad!

THis is way deep into the woods, look at the branches, and see the cool squirrel's nest?
And oh me oh my look what us South Carolinians woke up to this morning! It is absolutely beautiful!

Every kid must eat snow at least once! I told Jack I sure hope there was no doggie pee pee on it....

I  hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas.  Hard to believe all the hustle and bustle and baking and wrapping is all gone now.  Have a wonderful day all, I can tell you we will for sure!
For those of you who have asked me what kind of camera Mike bought me:
It is The Panasonic LUMIX
Fz35 18X Optical zoom.

My husband researches things to death before he make a purchase.  For the money and all the outstanding reviews, I can see why he chose this camera for me.  I love it, and have a lot to learn, but so far it has been  a  great camera to work with. Without the MEGA pricetag, it has all the bells and whistles I can want before leaping into a really expensive one.

Got my Martha on!

Yeah, that's
right........
I saw a craft the other day on Martha Stewart.com and I was very inspired.
This is a post from last year that I did not happen to share with many parties.
So I thought today I would share with Layla's table scape holiday party.
Thank you Layla!
The Lettered Cottage
..
Here is my inspiration....thanks Martha!
They are just cute little place card settings, made with sticks.

 How easy and cute!

Real Holly and holly berries from our tree outside

My very good German friend was moving back to Germany, before she left she gave me this table cover.

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.....

Here are where some of my table items came from:
Colored chargers: World Market
Snow flake glasses:  Dollar tree last year
China was given to me
Red Mercury glass vase: Marshalls this year $10.00
Three silver votive snow flake candles: Bath and Body works with 10.00 coupon
Today {11-30-10} I am sharing with Centsational girl. She is having a Holiday table scape contest, and I thought why not, I would LOVE a homegoods gift card...that is my all time favorite place to shop!
This was last years table scape, however, I thought it is a Christmas holiday one, and one of my favs.
Thanks Kate!
